The short answer
Yes. THC drinks contain Delta-9 THC — the main intoxicating cannabinoid in cannabis — so a drink that contains it can impair you. In a hemp-derived beverage like NICE, that Delta-9 comes from hemp as defined by the 2018 Farm Bill, but the cannabinoid itself is the same molecule. How noticeable the effect is depends on the dose, your tolerance, what you have eaten, and plain individual variation, so no one can promise you a specific experience.
What a 5 mg serving means
Every NICE can holds a labeled 5 mg of hemp-derived Delta-9 THC in 12 oz (355 mL) — a measured serving rather than a guess. 5 mg is widely treated as a moderate single serving for beverages, but tolerance differs so much between people that the only reliable reference point is your own. If you are new to THC drinks, start with half a can (2.5 mg) and wait at least 30–60 minutes before deciding whether to have more.
It is not alcohol, and it does not behave like it
A THC drink contains no alcohol, and the experience does not follow drinking's familiar timing: onset is not instant, and having another can because the first one 'has not hit yet' is the classic beginner mistake.
