What a THC drink actually is
A THC drink is a beverage — usually sparkling water — infused with cannabinoids instead of, or in addition to, other ingredients. NICE cans are 12 oz hemp-derived Delta-9 THC sparkling water: Maine purified water, natural flavors, citric acid, and nano-emulsified hemp-derived Delta-9 THC, at a formulation target of 5 mg per can. There's no alcohol in the can, and no sugar, calories, carbs or sodium.
Nano-emulsification just describes how the THC is processed so it disperses evenly through the liquid instead of separating out, rather than floating or clumping the way an untreated oil-based extract would. That's part of what lets a can taste like a normal sparkling water rather than something oily or grassy.
How much is actually in a can
Every NICE can is formulated to 5 mg of hemp-derived Delta-9 THC. That's the whole catalog — there's no 3 mg, 10 mg or 20 mg version to mix up. Measured potency has ranged from 4.54 mg to 5.20 mg per can across the six independent lab certificates NICE currently publishes (ProVerde and Trichome Analytical), which is why we link the actual certificate numbers rather than asking you to take a single printed figure on faith.
Start with half a can
If you've never had a THC drink before, don't start with a whole can. Pour half (about 2.5 mg) and wait at least 30–60 minutes before deciding whether you want more. This isn't a formality — cannabinoid response varies a lot between people, and drinking a full can, let alone a second or third, before you know how you react is how people end up with an experience they didn't want.
If half a can feels like nothing after an hour, a reasonable next step is finishing the can. There's no need to rush to a second full can in one sitting.
What to expect, and what not to expect
Brand guidance is roughly 15–30 minutes to onset and 2–4 hours of duration, but that's a general range, not a guarantee — it depends on your body, metabolism, what you've eaten, and simple variation between people. Don't plan an evening around a precise timeline.
